Apple Harvest and Watercolor Pencils

It's apple season!  Gotta love them APPLES!  

This card featured here was one of my "swap cards" I made for the Backstage event I attended in New Orleans last month.  One of the highlights of attending Stampin' Up! events is swapping card ideas with other demonstrators.

I took advantage of the Perfect Partners promotion to get the Apple Harvest Bundle.  While the Apple Harvest stamp set from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog is available until January 4, 2023, the Apple Blossoms Dies are only available from NOW until the end of September!

The apples were stamped in Soft Suede ink and colored with Watercolor Pencils.  Take a look at today's Lunch & Learn Facebook Live video to see how I used the watercolor pencils to color.

Our projects this month focus on Designer Series Paper...one of my absolute favs to create with! Below is the card that I created using the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper as a backdrop for the sentiment and images from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.

I also used my favorite embellishment...the Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog.  I love the touch of gold with the black, white, and autumnal colors!

We are featuring cards that provide encouragement this month. Below is the card that I created with the Charming Sentiments Bundle, Adventurous Journey stamp set, and Lovely in Linen Designer Series Paper.

>With July being World Watercolor Month, I had to add a watercolored element and the row boat was a good option. After stamping the boat with Saddle Brown StazOn ink, I used watercolor pencils to outline the edges of the boat and the different sections of the floor.  A touch of water with my Water Painter softened the color.  I typically use Stampin' Blends, so this was a challenge for me!

I did fussy cut the boat and the oar, but I used the dies for the sentiment!  That's what I love about the Charming Sentiments Bundle...fussy cutting made easy!
