Valentine from RMHC My Hero

Such a sweet bag...no?  Sweet Sugarplum is a top selling color these days at Stampin' Up!  I LOVE it!  And I thought it would pair oh so well with the valentine heart from the Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set My Hero.  Stampin' Up! donates $3 to RMHC with every purchase of this set.

You'll notice quite a few accessories on this treat bag, including the Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon and the Glitter Ribbon from the combo pack in the new Holiday Catalog.  There are quite a few more than I usually use on one project, but Valentines are the perfect projects in which you can go overboard with accessories!

Don't forget...September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month.  Help me raise money for this cause!  Purchase the Ronald McDonald House Charities My Hero stamp set or any gold accessories this week and I will donate 20% of those sales to a local organization, GiveBonnieStrong77, which helps families dealing with childhood cancer.  Use Hostess Code: HRRD2J2W when you checkout.  Don't delay, order by Friday, September 30!

Who's Your Hero?

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

Featured above are "Bucket Notes"...little notes sized 2 3/4" x 4"...you can make 4 of these little notes from one sheet of card stock.  They're great for co-workers or teachers!  Leave them on their desk or in their mailbox for a pick-me-up.  They're also great for kids' lunchboxes too!

This bucket note above also uses the stamp set Timeless Textures.  It adds just a bit of texture that the card needed.  Dapper Denim is a beautiful deep blue!
Sweet Sugarplum is the most popular ink pad these days at Stampin' Up!  Love how this little valentine turned out with the help of some accessories from the new Holiday Catalog: Fancy Frost Sequins and Glitter Ribbon Combo Pack.

Check back this week to see more samples with this fun My Hero stamp set!  If you look closely in the photos above you can get a sneak peek!

Make a little art!

You're visiting my blog, so you must enjoy being crafty like me!  Did you know that by being crafty and making art (hand-stamped cards and gifts are little works of art of course!) you are increasing your confidence in yourself an ability to complete tasks?  Read about this Drexel University study which has concluded that 45 minutes of art-making improves self-confidence...and more!

I have often commented to others that stamping and scrapbooking is my "art therapy" which helps with my stress levels.  All too often I hear, "I'm too busy to be crafty...stamp...create, etc."  Well, get out your calendar and schedule a date with yourself, or with friends, to get crafty!  It's good for you!

Join me in setting aside 45 minutes on Saturday, October 1 to make a little art!  It's World Card Making Day so it's a perfect day to spend some time creating and increasing your thinking skills and lowering your stress levels!
