Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Designer Series Paper

Welcome to the Paper Crafting Blog Hop! Our August 2022 blog hop includes Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world...including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia!  Get ready to be wowed by a variety of creative projects and design styles!  You may have arrived from Annettes's Blog...I hope you were inspired by her project!

Our projects this month focus on Designer Series Paper...one of my absolute favs to create with! Below is the card that I created using the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper as a backdrop for the sentiment and images from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.

I also used my favorite embellishment...the Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog.  I love the touch of gold with the black, white, and autumnal colors!

Scroll down to see all the supplies used for this card.

Hidden Message Fun Fold from Tuesday Night Stampin' Club

If you missed Tuesday Night Stampin' Club last night, I hope you'll be able to watch sometime soon!  This Hidden Message Fun Fold card is actually quite easy to do!  My original card (shown below) used the Magnolia Blooms stamp set and the bulk Magnolia Lane DSP.
I love how last night's card turned out...and I'm sad that the Abstract Impressions Stamp set and Springtime Thinlit Dies I used are retiring...but they are on sale so don't miss out!  Check out the supplies listed at the end of the post.

Instructions:
  1. Cut a sheet of DSP into a 4" x 12" strip.  Score at 4 1/2" and 9".  Fold on scorelines to create a Z fold.
  2. Take one sheet of Colored Cardstock.  Score at 5 1/2".  Cut in half at 4 1/4".  Take one half and cut 2" off the long 11" edge so it measures 9" x 4 1/4"....this is the card front and middle.  Trim the other half along the 11" edge at 5 3/4"...this is the card back, plus a small section to attache to the card front.
  3. Attach the card back by adhering the 1/4" flap to the card "middle".
  4. Adhere the DSP backward Z to the inside of the 4-1/4" x 9" FRONT, lining both pieces up on the outer edge.
  5. Die-cut and oval about a 1/2" from the edge on the front.  Fold the middle part of the backward Z DSP over where you just cut the oval and cut the same oval through the middle part of the "Z" DSP.
  6. Lay the middle section of DSP over the middle section of the colored cardstock and adhere the extra stamped greeting.

Who's Your Hero?

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month.  Help me raise money for this cause!  Purchase the Ronald McDonald House Charities My Hero stamp set or any gold accessories this week and I will donate 20% of those sales to a local organization, GiveBonnieStrong77, which helps families dealing with childhood cancer.  Use Hostess Code: HRRD2J2W when you checkout.

Featured above are "Bucket Notes"...little notes sized 2 3/4" x 4"...you can make 4 of these little notes from one sheet of card stock.  They're great for co-workers or teachers!  Leave them on their desk or in their mailbox for a pick-me-up.  They're also great for kids' lunchboxes too!

This bucket note above also uses the stamp set Timeless Textures.  It adds just a bit of texture that the card needed.  Dapper Denim is a beautiful deep blue!
Sweet Sugarplum is the most popular ink pad these days at Stampin' Up!  Love how this little valentine turned out with the help of some accessories from the new Holiday Catalog: Fancy Frost Sequins and Glitter Ribbon Combo Pack.

Check back this week to see more samples with this fun My Hero stamp set!  If you look closely in the photos above you can get a sneak peek!
