When the Bouquet of Hope February Paper Pumpkin Kit was revealed, it was the perfect opportunity to offer this kit as a fundraising event for Bright Pink. Paper Blooms Slide and Lock Fun Fold

I love the Sale-a-Bration Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper!  And when you pair it with the coordinating Pierced Blooms Dies you get a beautiful stitched effect!

This Fun Fold card is called a Slide and Lock Gate Fold card.  It's actually pretty simple to create!  I have some how-to tips and photos below, but you can see me making the Slide and Lock Fun Fold during my Tuesday Night Stampin' Club Facebook Live from earlier this week on my @SimplySheStamps page.

Slide and Lock Gate Fold instructions:

To create the "locking" mechanism, you'll need four 2-1/2" squares in Basic White cardstock.  Take two of them and score in half at 1-1/4" and fold.  Now you'll make a sandwich.  Lay a square down.  Adhere one side of a folded square, with the fold in the center of the "sandwich" and the long edge flush with the edge of the first square.  Take the other folded square, add adhesive to one side, and adhere to the bottom square making sure that the fold is flush with the other fold in the center.

Now adhere the last square...the top of your sandwich... to both of the flaps...just like you did with the first square you laid down.  Decorate the front of the square.  I used a 2-1/2" square piece of the Paper Blooms DSP and added some flowers.
To make the Gate Fold: cut your cardstock to 4-1/4" x 11" and score at 2-3/4" from each short side.  Fold those towards the center to create your card base.  Adhere Paper Blooms DSP panels (4" x 2-1/2") to each side of the front of the card.  SLIDE the LOCKING mechanism (a.k.a. the sandwich) down the center of the card so that the edges of the card base are between the top and bottom layers of the sandwich.

If you need to see these steps in action...watch my Facebook LIVE replay.

Being a seamstress and avid crafter, I do adore the stitched effect of the Pierced Blooms Dies!  Can you see the difference between the two cards above?  The top one has fussy-cut flowers and the other used the Pierced Blooms Dies.

Here are the other cards I featured during Tuesday Night Stampin' Club using the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper and the In Bloom Bundle, which includes the In Bloom stamp set and Pierced Blooms Dies.

If you purchase the In Bloom Bundle, you're so close to receiving the DSP for FREE as a Sale-a-Bration reward!  See below for more information about Sale-a-Bration and all the supplies used to create these cards.

I used more of the Paper Blooms paper to die-cut the bloom and leaves.  It uses the sheet that has watercolored circles made specifically to die-cut Pierced Blooms...and more!  I am so very happy that the dies include a beautiful label for greetings.  This card to the left includes Denim Ribbon, Seaside Spray cardstock, and our new Basic White cardstock.  This one was inspired by a project designed by one of Stampin' Up!'s concept artists.

This card to the right is cased from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.  The blooms are die-cut from Shimmery White cardstock, but my photo doesn't do the shimmer justice....it looks a bit pearl-like in person.  The addition of some Whale of a Time sequins adds some more sparkle.  And yes, the cute paper bow is a die that is included in the Pierced Blooms Dies.

All of the supplies used in the projects above are listed below and they can be purchased in my online store.

Bright Pink Bouquet of Hope Fundraiser

We lost my sister Lucy to breast cancer last February.  She was a talented artist and very crafty.  We loved to craft together and share crafting ideas. When the Bouquet of Hope February Paper Pumpkin Kit was revealed, it was the perfect opportunity to offer this kit as a fundraising event for Bright Pink. I learned about Bright Pink through my fraternity Zeta Tau Alpha’s philanthropy efforts as we partner to educate our communities about breast cancer prevention and early detection.

The kit’s exclusive Bouquet of Hope Stamp Set features supportive sentiments centered around comfort, care, hope, and love. Such a versatile stamp set can be used throughout the year. We all know someone who could use a heartfelt, handmade card that gives strength during a difficult time.

The Bouquet of Hope kit provides supplies to create nine cards and coordinating envelopes. It’s an all-inclusive kit that includes: patterned card bases, die-cut floral elements, ribbon, embellishments, a stamp set, an ink spot, adhesives, a clear acrylic block, and envelopes that all arrive directly to your mailbox in a cute box. No additional supplies are needed.  You’ll also get a Zoom link to create the kit along with me and others during a Zoom Make and Take Party on March 5th. If you can’t make the Zoom party, there are directions included and a YouTube assembly video will be provided.

Virtual Valentine Stamp Camp

What happens when Stamp Camp needs to go virtual?  Use those die-cut and punched images!  I grabbed the Wreath Builder dies to create this beautiful valentine wreath.  There is a coordinating stamp set, Arrange a Wreath, and even a bundle available with a 10% discount.  This bundle was one of my first purchases back in June when the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog came out.  I love how you can use it throughout the year!

Sticking with the Love You Always featured color combo of Blushing Bride, Rococo Rose, and Sahara Sand, I added some Pear Pizzazz.  The card base is Sahara Sand (my favorite neutral) with a Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper layer and a wreath die-cut in the Love You Always Foil.
The Pear Pizzazz wreath is popped up with Mini Dimensionals...alternating on inside/outside wreath leaves.  And pearls are always a good idea!

We also made a cute 3x3 candy box which was "cased" from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog using some Love You Always suite products: True Love Designer Series Paper, Always Dies, and Blushing Bride 3/8" Metallic Ribbon.  The adorable Heart Charm is tied on with Blushing Bride twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack.   You may notice just a hint of color that we added to the DSP with our new Blending Brushes and Blushing Bride Classic Ink.  Adhesive sheets work great when you add it to your cardstock BEFORE you die cut the word LOVE.

Of course, we needed a coordinating card for our Valentine!  Luckily I had the perfect one that was shared with us Demonstrators by Linda Cullen during our Stampin' Up! OnStage@Home event in November.  Her projects showcasing the Love You Always suite were so inspiring!

I did make extra valentines to send to Midwest Veterans Closet for their 7th Annual Valentines 4 Vets initiative.  Please consider making some extra valentines this year as well to share the love and express gratitude to those that serve/served our country.  You can click on the links above to find our more information.

Follow me on my Facebook Page to be notified when I post my Tuesday Night Stampin' Club Live videos and more.  If you do not already have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I would LOVE to be yours. Would you like to enjoy the demonstrator discount? Join my team, The INK Crowd! Click here for details.

All the supplies used to create these projects can be ordered through my online store here. To receive a special thank-you, please use the host code found on the right side of my blog when ordering through my online store if your order is under $150. If it is over $150, don’t use the code so you can redeem all the Host Rewards.
