Welcome to the Paper Crafting Blog Hop! The March 2022 blog hop includes Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world! Talented Demonstrators from all over the globe including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia are participating! You'll be wowed by a variety of creative projects and design styles! You may have arrived from Sue's blog. What a great project she had!
We are featuring animals with coordinating punches this month. Below is the card that I created using the Turtle Friends stamp set and coordinating Turtle Punch, both from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.
When I'm at a loss of where to start, I take a look at Designer Series Paper for color combos. So I went to the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper Pack and chose the two patterns above because they reminded me of the turtle shell. Pool Party, Misty Moonlight, Crushed Curry, and Granny Apple Green are the featured colors on those sheets. I love this pack of paper because there are so many patterns and black & white on the back. It is a Host Reward product, so it's only available until May 2.
I am notoriously late with birthday cards so this sentiment was a must-have in my craft room. I stamped the turtle outline in Misty Moonlight ink onto Granny Apple Green cardstock and then added the shell detail in Granny Apple Green ink. So easy to punch this lil' guy out with the Turtle Punch! He is popped up with Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals are a perfect fit on his feet. The cute little clouds come from the Brilliant Rainbow Dies and the scalloped edge is from the Penned Flowers Dies. The birthday banner is Crushed Curry cardstock punched on just one end with the Banners Pick A Punch. Banners for sentiments are a great way to use up 1/2" scraps!
Pattern Party Designer Series Paper is easily overlooked!
Check it out on page 171 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog!
