My project showcases the Welcoming Window stamp set and coordinating Window Flower Box Dies. Spring was in the air here in the Chicago area last week and the windows were open to welcome in some fresh air. We call it Fool's Spring since we are back to winter temps and more snow on the ground. When I first saw this bundle I knew I wanted to create a card with a Mediterranean feel and what better time to do so since I needed some warm thoughts after the weather turned this week.
The Painted Texture Embossing Folder works great to create the "plastered" backdrop for the window. I used the Blending Brushes with Cinnamon Cider ink to make the wood look like it was stained. The Vellum is backed by a piece of Pool Party cardstock and I also added some Wink of Stella to the vellum window panes to add some sparkle.
You can see below how the addition of ink to the embossed shutter really steps up the plain cardstock...it gives it a richness and depth of color.
