Dahlia Season during Sale-a-Bration!

The beautiful Delicate Dahlias with a photo-realistic look make a very quick and simple notecard.  I used Merry Merlot, Cajun Craze, and Bumblebee inks for the flowers and Early Espresso for the sentiment.  Vanilla Notecards are pre-scored and come with envelopes.  They are a great way to make a bunch of cards at once.  I sometimes refer to this method as Three-Color Cards.

Summer Shadows Dies FREE during Sale-a-Bration!

I was inspired to make this card that was featured in the weekly email newsletter that I receive from Stampin' Up!  Using the Shaded Summer stamp set and the Summer Shadows Dies, which is a Sale-a-Bration reward. This was based on the Avid Card sample and I added a touch of the Sale-a-Bration Be Dazzling Specialty Paper behind the sentiment...I love the sparkle!

As you may see in the card above I changed out the sentiment and made the card a bit simpler.  I did swap out the colors of the Elegant Faceted Gems embellishments.  Below you get an up-close view of the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper and the colored embellishments.

And finally, below is the card we made during my Sale-a-Bration Stamp Camp!  You can see how you can take inspiration and adapt the idea to your style of card-making!  Sometimes you have lots of time to create and sometimes you just need to get it done!

HOW-TO?

How did I get the background of the card?  Use 1/2" strips of DSP and card stock!

Adhere strips of paper/cardstock diagonally on your card base and trim the excess.
