Summer Love and Affection

Have to say... that my Affectionately Yours class was a success!  I hope those ladies who attended will agree with me;)  This is another of our cards we created.  It started with a "card map" which used punched hexagons of patterned paper...I swapped in images from the Love & Affection stamp set. And it was easy to pick the colors to use...the ones featured in the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (a.k.a. DSP). See below for the colors we used.  

On the card base front I trimmed off a 1/2" from the bottom.  On the inside of the card, I adhered a 3/4" strip of the DSP at the bottom.  The Whisper White layer measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" so that's how you get the little strip of Cucumber Crush at the top of the card.

One good thing...

on top of another!

One thing I love the day after Thanksgiving... (besides all of the yummy leftovers) is that all I have planned is to decorate for Christmas and take the time to be crafty!  So I broke out this year's Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set Sprinkles of Life.  I just LOVE this set and see so may possibilities!  I did "case" this card from my Stampin' Up! Wish You a Happy Halloween!

This is one of October's Card-of-the-Month for my COM/Scrapbook Club.  We also made this at a recent workshop held in someone's home.  I wasn't sure I needed the Motley Monsters DSP, but I've already used my whole pack! (You'll see a super-cute scrapbook page soon with it!)  Gotta tell ya...I love banners!  Can you see the little staple I used as an embellishment at the top of the banners?  Maybe you missed it in the Holiday Catalog on page 16....it's one of my favorite tools!
