Sweet Ice Cream With Sprinkles on Top!

Lovin' the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set for fun birthday cards!  I think a DQ gift card would be the perfect treat to put inside!  You can watch my Tuesday Night Stampin' Club Live video's replay by clicking the image below to see how I put this card together step by step as well as how to two-step stamp with the stamp set.

As you may know, I love DSP...Designer Series Paper!  It's so simple to pull together a great project with DSP as a starting point.  Use the colors from the paper for your ink choices, choose from quite a few designs for layering & elements, and even cut out a focal image for your card.  The Ice Cream Corner DSP is a perfect scoop!

The greeting on my card is stamped in Blackberry Bliss and Terracotta Tile on a 1" x 4-1/4" strip of Basic White, with one punched end and diagonal trim on the other to line up along the DSP layer.  The Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles adhered with liquid glue add a li'l something to the card.

My friend watching my LIVE video helped me decide which colors and patterns to use for my tag below.  It was so fun to have an interactive demonstration!  You'll notice the super-cute mini popsicle sticks that I happened to have on hand since my daughter ordered 150 of them thinking they were the normal size...but that's OK...because in miniature is just so cute!

Join me for a virtual workshop

Saturday, April 24 at 10:00 am Central Time and replay available after.
For just $10, you'll get a card kit and learn how to make six cards using the
Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper.
Stamps, ink, and adhesive purchased separately.
Contact me ASAP...and definitely by April 14 to reserve your spot!

Scroll on down to see all the items that I used for tonight's projects.  Please be aware that some items are back-ordered and others are retiring so they are only available while supplies last.

Don't forget that your purchase of any butterfly products during the month
of March will be part of my current Craft for a Cause initiative.

Your participation will help me in raising funds to plant wildflowers in The Woodland Walk at Raven Glen Forest Preserve, which is a specified quarter-mile walk that is dedicated to all children and siblings who have left us too soon.  The Northern Lake County Chapter of The Compassionate Friends, in partnership with the Lake County Forest Preserve District, is working toward restoring the wooded walk with trees, shrubs, flowers, and benches.  For each planting that is dedicated to an individual, an engraved nameplate will be added to the plaque " Our Children Remembered".  My goal is to raise enough funds to have five nameplates for the five families that I personally know who have lost a little angel.

When you purchase any of the items from the Butterfly Brillance Collection (or any current Butterfly stamp set/punch/die), I will donate 20% of the sale to the Woodland Walk Memorial.

Butterfly Pop-Up Card

Tonight during my Tuesday Night Stampin' Club Facebook LIVE I made a fun fold card....a V-fold Pop Up Card!  A Demonstrator friend of mine posted a V-fold card this morning and I knew right when I saw it that I had to make one of these pop-up cards using the Butterfly Brillance Collection!

You can watch the replay below to see how I made the card and some tips on scoring with your bone folder and cutting your Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper.  Keep on reading for instructions and supplies used.

HOW TO MAKE A V-FOLD POP-UP CARD

  1. Start with a Basic White Card Base cut at 8" x 5-1/4"
  2. Score at 4" to fold the card in half.
  3. Mark 2" down from the top on the center score line.
  4. Use a ruler to line up the top corner and center mark 2" down and score with a bone folder.  Use a foam mat underneath to get a deep score line.
  5. Do the same from the other top corner to the center score line mark.
  6. Fold on the score lines to create a V that will fold into the card as shown below.
  7. Adhere an element to the right side of the center fold taking care that it will fit inside of the card.

I absolutely LOVE the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper and it is only available until May 3 or while supplies last!  A circle punched out of the Natural Touch Specialty Paper really adds a nice organic feeling to the card.  That too is exclusive to the Butterfly Bouquet Promotion from now until May 3.

Double Wonder!

I was able to make 11 cards in under 10 minutes per card and it cost me way less than $10!  It was a perk of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in the Great Lakes Region.  Our awesome Demonstrator Development Manager, Shannon West,  hosted a Facebook Live a couple of weeks ago and we all created cards based off of the Double Wonder concept.  The cards above are my first batch.  The cards featured below are my second batch.  Are you interested in making quick cards to send to family, friends, and anyone who needs a little hello?  I'll be walking through the how-to's during my own Facebook Live on Tuesday, April 21 at 7:00 pm.  Join me on FB @SimplySheStamps

You can participate by using your own supplies that you already have or sign up to get the supplies for Magnolia Blooms version shown below for just $5 if you live locally (you will need your own stamps and ink and ribbon may be slightly different).  If you'd like to create with me and need supplies, you'll find the list of what you need down below.  Instructions will be posted here before LIVE event.

Section 3 (far right): from bottom cut 2-1/4" and again 2-1/4". You have 4 pieces that are 3-1/2" x 2-1/4" and two leftover pieces that are 3-1-2" x 1-1/2". Cut those in half, you'll have 4 pieces that are 1-3/4" x 1-1/2"...for bonus card.
